A party agent to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been shot dead by suspected thugs belonging to political rival groups in Eziama Obire in Nkwerre local government area of Imo state.
The Imo State Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Orlando Ikeokwu, on Saturday confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri, adding that he would give details of the ugly development later including the name of the deceased.
However, this is coming few hours the Imo state commissioner of Police, Dazuki Galadanchi, said that five fake policemen were arrested in Ideato South local government area. He also said that two Army officers were also arrested escorting a politician that the said Army officers were not assigned for any election duty.
There have been reports of ballot box snatching and intimidation of voters within the Ohaji/Egbema local government area.
