It is no longer news that University lecturers, in Nigeria, under the aegis of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as well as other Unions in the Universities have downed tools for over 6 months to press home theirdemand for Federal Government to implement the renegotiated 2009 agreement. Especially, as it is well known that Imo State Government pays them, promptly, even while on strike but their counterparts in the Federal Universities are facing a different fate.
