IMO STATE GOVERNMENT ON ROAD INSPECTION

HE_HopeUzodimma alongside the Commissioner for Works, today visited the failed section on 4th Inland road that connects Nekede old road where the road splited completely into two, for on the spot assessment. The Governor instantly, ordered a consultant to bring up an engineering design for possible reconstruction of the road.

The visit became necessary following calls from well meaning Imolites. The government of shared prosperity being a responsive one, swiftly paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the road and it is expected that construction will take off there in no distant time.

In another development, the Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu, yesterday inspected the ongoing asphalting of Mbonu Ojike Street and other road construction sites in Owerri.

Inspecting the asphalting of Mbonu Ojike street, the Commissioner charged the contractor on quality construction adding that government will not compromise in delivering to Ndi-Imo durable roads that will stand the test of time.

The Works Commissioner also inspected the ongoing road construction at Chukwuma Nwaoha and the Lake Nwaebere street including it’s adjoining roads. Cheerfully, the Lake Nwaebere road has already been completed and is now awaiting commissioning.

Ralph Nwosu also inspected the ongoing evacuation of man holes at government house roundabout, this purpose once achieved, will solve the issue of flood menace in and around that axis once and for all.
