The 17th republic Students Electoral Commission (SEC) members today officially released the timetable for the Imo State University (IMSU) 17th republic SUG election.
The timetable schedulethe SUG election on Friday 9th August, 2019 while campaigns kicks off today being Thursday 18th July, 2019.
The timetable are as follows:
*✴Monday 1st July, 2019 — Inauguration of SEC members*
*✴Wednesday 3rd July, 2019 — Assignment of position to SEC members*
*✴Monday 8th July, 2019 — Introduction of SEC executives to the Dean of Student Affairs, SUG Staff Adviser, Faculty Staff Advisers, Chief Security Officer and the Welfare Officer*
*✴Tuesday 16th July, 2019 — Introduction of the SEC executives to IMSU students during the Students Assembly*
*Publication of positions and prices of forms fora the union government council*
*✴Thursday 18th July, 2019 — General meeting with all Faculty Presidents, SUG aspirants and Alliance Presidents, sales of form starts after today’s meeting with the sec .*
*▪Thursday 25th July, 2019 — End of sales of forms and return of all forms.*
*▪Friday 26th July, 2019 — SEC screening*
*▪Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August 2019* — Security screening and
DSS screening
DSS screening
*▪Monday 5th August 2019 — Union Executive Council Debate*
*✴Tuesday 6th August 2019 — Rally (campaign officially ends)*
*✴Wednesday 7th August 2019 — Manifesto day*
*✴Friday 9th August 2019 — Election day schedule*
