IMSU STUDENT WINS MR IMO 2020 BEAUTY PAGEANT
The glitz and glamour of a pageant is enough to make anybody feel like Iroegbulam Chidubem in “Mr and Miss IMO,” but there’s much more to pageants than the elaborate dresses and crowns.
The Mr and Miss Imo 2020 pageantry was held on Saturday August 8, 2020 at the Ahiajoku IMO trade center with the aim of promoting beauty, elegance, prestige and pride that is associated with pageantry.
An Imo state university student took home top prizes at the contest. Mr. Chidubem Iroegbulem popularly known as Lamchris, a 300L Igbo linguistic student of IMSU represented his LGA, Mbaitoli and emerged victorious in the male category defeating other contestants drawn from across the 27 LGA in the state.
LamChris went home with mouth watering prizes including a brand new saloon car, cash gift, ambassadorial deal with the youth center among other prizes.
“I was elated when I was announced as the winner, though it is never an easy task combining modelling and students -leadership, youths should be versatile. I have always wanted a platform to be able to impact and change the narrative of the imo Youth. He enunciated during an interview by Oracle News correspondent.
It is also worthy to note that the handsome model is a TV presenter and environmentalist, a winner of Mr.Nature Nigeria, president faculty of humanities and also contested for SUG Director of environment last year.
