The retired AVM served as military governor of Kano state from 1984 to 1985, while President Muhammadu Buhari was military head of state.
He was said to have died in Germany on Wednesday, January 3.
Abdullahi was born in Hadejia, Jigawa state and attended the Nigeria Air Force Tactical Training Wing, Kaduna in 1964.
He was promoted air vice-marshal in October 1988 and retired from the Nigerian Air Force two months later.
