Prof. Magnus okee okoro, Professor of library and information science was appointed Imo state university librarian on 1st February 2007 for a term of five years, at the expiration of the first tenure, he was reappointed by Professor Victoria Adobi Obasi (immediate Vice-Chancellor of the School) who was then commissioner for education for a second term (five years) with effect from February 1st 2012 based on good performance, making total of ten (10) years as Chief Librarian in Imo state university.
Prof Okee Okoro, former chairman, Presidential Taskforce on Power and prominent Alumni of the Department of libray and information science, Prof Okee Okoro University Librarian, IMSU, and one time Commissioner for Petroleum and Environment.
