imsu not resuming on 5th October

The Imo State Government has announced Oct. 5 as the date for the resumption of schools in the state closed in March following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.

But imo state University is currently on strike via ASUU strike, IMSU have been closed down since March, as part of measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Any information concerning the university resumption will be pass through the appropriate bodies in the university and through the student Union government.

Resumption Date: Monday 23rd March, 2020
Weeks of lectures: Monday 23rd March, 2020 – Friday 10th July, 2020 (15 Weeks)
Revision: Monday 13th July, 2020 – Friday 17th July, 2020 (1 Week)
Examination: Monday 20th July, 2020 – Friday 14th August, 2020 (3 Weeks)
Second Semester Break: Saturday 15th August, 2020 to Saturday 12th September, 2020 (5 Weeks)
