Disturbing report reaching imsugreats.com.ng has it that a group of unidentified gunmen stormed the streets of Owerri, Imo State capital earlier today, causing panic among residents.
In a trending video posted online, the men who wore read and black attire, were seen walking on the streets boldly with weapons while shooting sporadically in the air.
Some internet users have alleged that the gunmen might be cultists or political thugs while others have argued that they may be local security agents considering how they took over the streets in broad daylight.
However, residents have urged the authorities to look into the issue ahead of Saturday’s election.
