Road reconstruction still ongoing in imo as Governor Hope Uzodinma continue his rehabilitation in imo

Our Administration is particularly focused on the rehabilitation of some, and reconstruction of many other dilapidated roads in Owerri municipal and adjourning hinterland streets within the shortest possible time, because it will ease the traffic conjestion in the city and environs.

The idea is to rehabilitate and open up alternative routes in and around the capital city in order to beat the long hours people spend on traffic gridlocks. This will enhance movement of people and goods and in turn, impact on our local economy positively.

The roads includes:-
1) Warehouse roundabout – Emmanuel College – Naze road, 2) MCC/Uratta road, 3) Dick Tiger road, 4) Chukwuma Nwoha road, 5)Mbonu Ojike road, 6) World Bank – Federal Secretariat road, 7) Assumpta – Ibari Ogwa junction along PH road, 8) Thomas Moore, JP Ajaelu and Gozie Nwachukwu roads, 9) Nnempi road behind Emmanuel College, 10) Oparaanozie/Edede/Amaigbo road, 11) Relief Market road, 12) Akachi road, 13) World Bank-Umuguma road, 14) Akabo Ikeduru road, 15) St Joseph Catholic Church roundabout Orlu, 16) Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH) road, 17) Nkume/Orlu road, 18) Okporo – Omuma road

The level of work on these roads so far, is impressive & commendable. While a few are 100 percent delivered, others are at their various stages of completion.

As a Government, as much as we are deliberate to bequeath quality infrastructural footprints to Ndị Imo, we are also mindful of quantity because we have a lot of infrastructural grounds to cover. We are committed to impacting positively on our local economy by stretching into the entire State with access roads in line with the resources at our disposal.
