This is to inform all female newly admitted student of imo State University that the management has made the female hostel compulsory for all female newly admitted students.

*🚨IMSU FEMALE HOSTEL NOW COMPULSORY FOR ALL FEMALE NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS.*

    2019-2020

The Management of Imo State University Owerri, through the directorate of student affairs has made her newly built and well furnished female hostel COMPULSORY for all the newly admitted 2019/2020 students.

This development is sequel to the efforts of the management to curtail the incessant challenges her students encounter since the inception of the University which ranges from high rate of increment in off campus hostel rents, insecurity, social vices, lack of adequate water and power supply to poor facilities in various off campus hostels, unwarranted arrest and detention of her students who could be ignorant of a crime committed within their jurisdiction of residence but victims of massive arrest etc.

This decision is to enable the management take responsibility of the activities of the newly admitted female students on campus and protect them from unwarranted social vices. Parents, sponsors or guardians who wish to opt out from the compulsory hostel accommodation are directed to visit the student affairs directorate to make it official.

All newly admitted female students are by this notice directed to visit the directorate of student affairs for inquiries on how to secure accommodation in the school hostel.

“`IMSU PEGS N100,000 FOR ADMISSION REGULARISATION SURCHARGE FEE FOR OLD STUDENTS WITH FACULTY ADMISSION“`

All old students with Faculty Admission are required to GENERATE remita invoice and Pay the sum of N100,000 as surcharge fee to enable them regularize their admission. The affected students must be sure to have Chosen Imo State University as their first choice of institution, scored a minimum of 180 and above and must be on the Jamb Matriculation list. If you are not on the Jamb Matriculation list.
