JAMB warns candidates not to check UTME 2019 results from Cyber cafes, reveals new way

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB has revealed that it has standardised its result checker process, saying that candidates who sat for the 2019 UTME can check their results via their phones through a text message with a registration number.

“Candidates should not bother themselves going to any cyber cafe to check any result. Our result check has been standardised. We will forward the results to the respective telephone numbers of those candidates who are deserving of it,” spokesman for the board, Fabian Benjamin, had said in April.

Steps to check results:

Send RESULT as an SMS to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration.
An SMS will be sent back to your phone carrying your UTME 2019 results.
JAMB said it simplified the way to check results for the 2019 examination to avoid extortion of candidates.

More than 1.2 million candidates sat for the 2019 UTME from April 11 to April 18.
