PHOTONEWS:AS THE SSA TO GOVERNOR ON STUDENT AFFAIRS FOLLOWS UP IMSU FUMIGATION OPERATION AND HOSTEL CHECK UP
The Fumigation of IMSU Aladinma alliance hostels kicked off today, Femieral Resources Limited contracted by Imo State ENTRACO on behalf of the state government kicked off the fumigation exercise today in Aladinma.
The operation was monitored by the SSA TO THE GOVERNOR ON STUDENT AFFAIRS RT. HON. FRANKLY OPARAJI and the imo state University Students’ Union Government (SUG) executives led by the President Comr. Oguike Arinze Aristotle, the SUG SENATE led by Rt. Hon. Mayor Chikwe Greatness and the SUG Chief Judge Hon. Akunna Opara, with the add of Aladinma alliance director of social SPARO D who represented in alliance president in the excerise and with other alliances excos/stakeholders.
With Over 30 hostels in Aladinma alliance where fumigated as a preventive measure against covid-19 in IMSU as regards to the reopening of the university.
The SSA TO THE GOVERNOR ON STUDENT AFFAIRS urged parents to take personal responsibility for their personal hygiene and that of their children by observing all safety protocols against COVID-19 pandemic and to support the government.
As he said “Fumigation is a critical practice to control soilborne pests in some high-value crops,the action or process of disinfecting or purifying an area with the fumes of certain chemicals”.
